This policy does not apply to persons who, prior to arrival, submit proof they have completed a completed a full vaccination regimen using a COVID vaccine recognized by the Paul-Ehrlich-Institute. Persons who, no sooner than 5 days following their arrival, undergo an additional PCR test for COVID are eligible for early release from self-isolation upon confirmation of a negative test result.
Children under 12 years of age must self-isolate for 5 days. All persons traveling from a "variants of concern" area must undergo a day quarantine. Be advised, many state-level authorities in Germany have implemented additional policies and restrictions for persons arriving into their jurisdictions.
