Archen or tirtouga which is better

This ability is practically useless. Atk, or healing Items such a Sitrus Berries…. Even with Defeatist, as long as you provide some good support, Archeops is a really dangerous sweeper. Apparently the high stats are a reference to some sort of bird-related thing where its base stats closely match the , which is inspired by Archeops being based on the ancestor of all birds.

It is capable of flying, but is more adept at running, taking a running start to take flight with its weak wing muscles. In there you will find a Hiker which will give you a fossil of your choice. The cover fossil will get you Tirtouga, the Plume Fossil will get you Archen.

You can obtain one of the two in the relic castle. In the first bit of relic castle talk to the woman she gives you the choice of plume archen or cover tirtouga fossil.

To get Tirtouga, you must travel to the Relic Castle, to the west of the construction yard between Castelia and Nimbasa.

In the Relic Castle you will find a Hiker who will give you a fossil of your choice. You can choose the Cover Fossil which will turn into Tirtouga, or the Plume fossil which will turn into Archen. Yes, you can get it in White. Tirtouga is revived from the Cover Fossil. When you get to Relic castle, a backpacker will offer you a fossil. You can choose either the Cover Fossil or the Plume Fossil.

You only get one and he keeps the other. Bring the fossil to the museum in Nacrene and they will revive it for you. You need to head to the Desert Resort off of Castelia City. You must go into the Relic Castle. If you head toward the stairs you'll meet a hiker.

I like them both a lot but my favorite is definitely Archen because its evolved form Archeops is my all time favorite Rock type and also one of my Top 10 favorite Pokemon of all time.

I only used the species in-game once however, and I found it to be relatively slow and not quite a good fit for my team at the time. Red and Blue Well-Known Member. Its my second favorite fossil Pokemon behind Amura and Aurorus. TwilightBlade Well-Known Member. I like Archen a lot more than Tirtouga. Archen has the better evolved form while Carracosta looks badass but doesn't deliver.
