From my experience: Estelle - Has some fun sword abilities to play with Air Divide , and her extra normal combo ability is kind of cool; however, she is rather slow in both movement and attacking speed.
When you go into Overlimit, the best thing to do is just spam Holy Rain or some such spell, or healing if you need it. She's alright, and is my second favorite to play as. Oh yeah, and she doesn't do much physical damage compared to the others, unfortunately. Repede - Really fast, and has some cool combos obviously not going to reach Yuri comboability, but that's a given.
Personally, I find playing as him a little awkward, possibly because he's a dog and thus is shorter and has an unusual hitbox. Others may disagree on this. He's also good with items, so you can easily spam them when needed though you can do that even when not controlling him. Karol - My favorite to play as; he is pretty damn slow with normal attacks, but he can still pull off decent combos.
His charging ability is pretty fun, and can also deal some heavy damage. He tends to knock enemies down alot, which can be a good or bad thing. You won't need to worry about getting killed either, since he is a freaking tank. The healing smashes can keep you alive as well, if you take too much damage.
Raven - My third favorite to play as. Raven has a nice spread of both long range and melee artes to play around with. He has Love Shot to keep him going if he gets hurt. The thing is, he is alot better suited as a mage, so he normally should be casting in the back row.
